Unexpected friend!
Life is always full of surprises. We never know what is next.
A Few days ago i was waiting for my turn in a queue at
college! Grrrrr....for annual show practice. To my surprise,
met a stranger when  I was on the phone, a soft voice called me.....an  angel in disguise. Suddenly he turned to me, and simply said Hi! I’m Obed from DR Congo and you?
He asked, What I did?
Fashion Designing, I replied.
So, doing masters? He asked. I said, No. Will look for work now.... Again he asked, why aren’t you doing masters?
I was stunned for a moment, thinking what should I answer...after few seconds, I replied, my family wants me to work and do something!
Again he asked, Why?
Little did he know that an Indian girl has to marry and settle down blah blah......I hesitated to say those thing out loud. All i said, my family is my first priority and if they want me to work l, I will.
Confused, he replied, really? What about you and your priorities? Isn’t that important? We are expected, day in and day out, to have all of our ducks in a row.
He added,  I will give you an example of my cousin. His father wanted him to persue engineering and he didn't,  But for his father’s sake he did. After his certification, mustered up courage and went straight to his father, handed his degree and simply said, I did what you wanted me to do , but now I will do what i want to do.
I was surprised thinking how can a person do this. I was still standing quitely listening to what he was saying. He said, you want to do it for your family, do it, but in between don’t forget yourself. Unless and until you aren’t satisfied you can’t make others happy. Saying this , he went out.
But I was anxious all day, thoughts constantly  crossing my mind. His words pocking me constantly and making me think, Am I doing the right thing?
Seriously, he gave me some of the best advice I have ever received.
We tend to believe that we must put everything and everyone else ahead if us and then, if we have time, we will take care of ourselves.

He was my guardian angel....appeared out of nowhere and did something none of my family and friends did....showed me the right path !
